This book is beautiful, start to finish. The photography, the recipes, the information. Very in depth and informative, not your bullshit “easy Thai food for the lazy cook” kind of book. It’s amazing and I’d recommend it for anyone who gives a shit about Thai food.

I HAVE TO SAY THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BOOKS ON THE CUISINE OF THAILAND I HAVE EVER SEEN, AND I HAVE MORE THAN A COUPLE! NORTHERN THAI FOOD IS ENTIRELY DIFFERENT FROM OTHER FOOD IN THAT PART OF THE WORLD, INCLUDING THAILAND. IENJOY THIS COOKBOOK BECAUSE OF THE DEEP RESEARCH THIS MAN HAS PUT IN TO TRANSLATE THE HISTORY BEHIND THE FOOD OF NORTHERN THAILAND AND HOW IT PLAYS WITH THE LIVES OF PEOPLE THAT LIVE THERE TODAY ;)

Amazing book very well written with beautiful photos

Love it, the best cook book I ever read. I enjoy every paper.

4.5 stars. An excellent book in almost every way. Especially valuable in giving the context of the foods in their regions. I just wish someone had written captions for the many beautiful photos!!! Sadly the photos opposite the recipes are not always of that particular recipe. And captions would have made it easier to identify the ingredients used, so that you could find them in a Thai grocery. (I suspect the publishers cheaped out on this expense.) But that said, this is a gorgeous and informative book.

Well written, with beautiful photography to accompany. Not too sure about the authors sandals on the last page though.
